Our special guests, VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) Commander-in-Chief Vincent B.J. Lawrence and Director of Foreign Affairs John Towles have just completed their annual visit to Taiwan at the invitation of the Minister of the R.O.C. Veterans Affairs Council (VAC) Gen. Chiu, Kuo-Cheng.

The two VFW leaders visited President Tsai Ing-wen at the Presidential Office on April 22nd morning. They also visited VAC for a briefing and Taipei Veterans General Hospital for an introduction tour.

President Tsai noted that VFW has been a strong supporter of Taiwan for decades, and each year, leaders from the VAC and VFW exchange information on veterans' affairs, national defense and foreign relations. President Tsai thanked the visitors for the latest VFW National Resolution on Taiwan, in which VFW recognized that the Republic of China is a long-time friend, ally, and a strategic partner of the United States and support R.O.C. on Taiwan.

VFW C-I-C Mr. Lawrence expressed his admiration about the integral success of the medical and healthcare service provided by the TVGH.

He also praises VAC for its varieties of services toward veterans and their dependents, such as general service, Home-care service, and Medical Care service.  Mr. Lawrence also experienced traditional medical treatment of acupuncture when he visited TVGH.
